On an afternoon in Term 4, while many other learners were in the final stages of their ‘Kaipakihi’ market planning, I found Major in Ngahere breakout room. He had one of the circuit units and was trying to get a bulb to light.  Major was curious and spent over 15 minutes trying to work out what to do.  I did little to support Major, except suggest that he thinks about why the wires are coloured red and black.   Major was delighted when he managed to get the light to work, and rushed off to show his friends.
